Drivers usually are pulled over for driving dangerously, texting while driving or eating behind the wheel.
But, this time was different. Not long ago, a police officer in Minnesota pulled over a vehicle found a 250-pound pig in the driver’s seat, so he must have had a good reason because this was not something you get to see everyday.
Sgt. Jason Foster was on duty in Chicago County when he noticed this driver. Jason told KMSP-TV that he was shocked when he looked in the window and saw not one, but two pigs – one in the driver’s lap and the smaller one next to the driver’s seat.
Both pigs were pets, and when Jason pulled out his phone to take a picture of the funny situation it seemed like they were posing.
“It’s right up there in the top 10 of the crazy things we see,” said Jason
As you can see the bigger pig is right on his dad’s lap, while the smaller pig is next to the driver’s seat.
The owner explained to the police that he was moving to another state and he wanted to keep his pets warm during the trip.
Despite this cute scene, when traveling with pets by car, it is highly recommended to place them into safe and well-ventilated crates or carriers inside the car.
Nevertheless, Jason let the owner off with a warning, reminding him that driving animals can be very dangerous and unsafe, especially if it’s a 250-pound pig.
“Having a pig on your lap … now that was a first – even for us,” joked Officer Jason on Twitter.
